Strengthening Family Cohesion and Solidarity
The Family Council launched a series of family education videos to present real-life stories in different family settings that illustrate how a loving, supportive family can help individuals overcome difficulties. By advocating the importance of family cohesion and solidarity, the series reinforces the message of a loving culture in the community beginning at home. The eight episodes of this series of videos entitled “Strengthening Family Cohesion and Solidarity” include:
Episode 1: Drug Addict Father Turning over a New Leaf
HO Wai-keung, an ex-drug addict, has been taking drugs since he was a child and in and out of prison many times. An industrial accident made him determined to quit drug for his family. This not only improved the relationship with his family but made him a role model and a walking encyclopedia in the eyes of his daughter.

Episode 2: Romance of Long-distance Runner Spouses
Athletes CHAN Ka-ho and YIU Kit-ching met on the track and have always supported each other. From "lover" to "husband and wife" runners, the recent arrival of their kid made them a joyful family of three.

Episode 3: Dispel Darkness with the Colour of Music
Lyric soprano SIU Hoi-yan, Michelle became blind due to ocular cancer when she was 3 months old. Although there were many challenges during her growth, with the care and companionship of her parents, she became the first visually impaired graduate of the Department of Music of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Episode 4: Leading an Amazing Life as a Cancer Conqueror
Dr. Gary NG was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 14. With the company of his family to face the disease, the experience of fighting cancer set his sights on becoming a doctor in the future to help other patients.

Episode 5: Humanitarian Aid Work amidst Gunfire
Dr TONG Wing-sze, Jennifer uses her professional medical knowledge and travel to war-torn corners of the world to help people in need. She risked her life to work on the frontline and overcame many difficulties. Not only did she bring hope to different parts of the world, but she also learned the importance of spending time with her family.

Episode 6: Overcoming Hurdles with Love
HUEN Chun-man and CHUI Man-wah are the parents of a 4-year-old autistic child Wui-hoi. Wui-hoi was suspected to have autism when he was about two years old. Fortunately, with the support and help of their families, they overcame many difficulties and took care of Wui-hoi with a positive and optimistic attitude.

Episode 7: Scaling New Heights as the Power of Family Ignites
Hong Kong professional snooker player, FU Ka-chun, Marco, has won many awards for Hong Kong over the years. The biggest driving force for his continuous improvement is the support of his family. While he had to take a break from snooker due to eye disease in 2018, he was able to spend more time and had enjoyable moments with his family.

Episode 8: Great Tips for Reducing Stress and Developing Resilience
Hong Kong people lead busy lives and are constantly under pressure. Registered social worker Mak Wai-hung shares the signs of excessive stress with simple and effective methods to reduce stress, hoping to help everyone improve their "resilience" and maintain physical and mental health.
